Visited Skylight Books
Good towns have Authentic bookstores and skateboard stores. This is more of my own wish, but when I visit a new town, I look for these shops. On my way to Kingswell, I stopped by Skylight Books, which has an Arts Annex that focuses on art books, architecture, and comics. In this wing, there were zines from all over the world. This is the kind of place I always come back to. I like the tastes of people's voices, as if they were first established on paper before being transformed into print or something else. The different time and different encounters are like a drifted Asia. Each of [MASALA NOIR](https://mamama-paris.com/collections/masala-noir)'s books is packaged with a light aesthetic of time, people, and voices, and I felt the beauty of the Independent's work in publishing.
I think I like the quiet network of these things going postal and unevenly distributed somewhere in the world.
