The web is full of flows, and while I bookmark many things, I struggle to organize them effectively. They remain as unconnected dots. The same goes for the questions we ask ChatGPT or other GenAI tools. The things we want to know become dots placed in our minds, but as we read through our research results, we gain new insights and get swept away. Is this the “trace” in **lines** by [[Tim Ingold]]? Thought and action create lines.
Rather than apps and services being scattered, perhaps if our actions weren’t confined to apps, everything could remain within them more neatly. In that sense, NotebookLM contributes to turning those dots into larger ones.
I continue using Obsidian, believing that one day these dots will form a graph. Yet, I still don’t have a clear method for connecting them—whether through tags, links, or something else entirely.
