#### featured notebooks
2025-07-15
Curated notebooks created by experts have been released in the form of Featured Notebooks as a new way to publish knowledge and articles. This allows you to share not just the resulting text, but the intellectual space itself. In a sense, sharing in a Digital Garden is a bit of an exaggerated and unfamiliar experience, but with a tool like Notebook that allows you to summarize, ask questions, and navigate through an intellectual space by turning it into a mindmap, I think this UX shows that it is possible to do so.
#### Play with Jonathan

During my Say Hello session with Jonathan, I asked him to listen to the AutioOverview of Resume he sent me and he was really surprised. Very natural, I can't believe he has told us so much about himself.
#### Lenny's Podcast
2024-12-19
NotebookLM was chosen as the most innovative product of the year in 2024 by TIME, and Google Labs is constantly making it evolve. There was a behind-the-scenes interview with [[Raiza Martin]], the Product Manager of Notebook LM, on [Lenny's Podcast](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOyFpSW1Vls).
Notebook LM began as a 20% Google project. Based on [[Raiza Martin]], who led the “AI Test Kitchen,” author Steven Johnson, and a full-time engineer, Discord has 60,000 community members. One of the secrets to making the product better is Content Studio, which mirrors Notebook Guide's approach to content. There was also a use case introduction of his own parent's biography, one of the things that I think families would appreciate: when you audio Resume, the two podcasters are praising their backgrounds. This is also an element that gives people confidence.
In this interview, Raiza mentioned that she regularly and intentionally incorporates the ideas of users and creative oddballs like Steven to gain insight into the product, which I think is very important.
#### Ian introduced me.

It was Ian who first introduced me to NotebookLM. He seemed a little surprised that I had not touched and played with this tool. When it was first introduced at GoogleI/O, I was intrigued by the concept, but could not imagine how to use it. However, as soon as I experienced the Audio Overview, I understood the concept. It is a way of structuring difficult content in a way that makes it easy to understand. Once again, it breaks down what the learning process is all about.
